(Ladies are welcome to apply for Full Membership, but men will be invited to join a waiting list.)
As a Full member of Lancaster Golf Club, you have unlimited access, 7 days a week, to one of the finest courses in Lancashire. You will be eligible to play in Club competitions, including knockouts and trophies, and represent the Club as part of a Club team. Full members have voting rights within the Club and can be elected to serve on the Board or as Captain or Lady Captain.
Full 7-Day: members age 40+
Intermediate 7-Day: members age 19-39 who pay reduced fees
Being a 5 Day member is similar to Full membership but access to the course is limited to weekdays.
5 day: members can play the course Monday to Friday and enter weekday competitions.
5 day plus: members can play the course Monday to Friday and enter weekday competitions plus 10 designated Saturdays and Sundays in social/mixed competitions.
9 hole Membership
This is designed for people who have limited time, or for those who prefer to play 9 holes either for health reasons or because they are still developing their game. 9 hole members can play in competitions, but these must be 9 hole competitions.
9 hole (7 day): members can play 9 holes 7 days a week. In the main playing season (April to September) tee times must be 13:00 onwards on Saturdays and Sundays (depending on competition day).
9 Hole (5 day): members can play 9 holes Monday to Friday.
We also offer a range of memberships for people who are time constrained, or who for other reasons cannot play golf at Lancaster on a regular basis. These do
not entitle members to participate in Club competitions or teams.
Lifestyle: 15 rounds of golf per year, plus use of all facilities. Extra rounds can be purchased at member guest rate.
Twilight: unlimited golf during off-peak times (April to September: weekdays after 3pm (excl. Wed), weekend after 4pm. October to March: weekdays after 12 noon (excl. Wed & Fri), weekend after 1pm).
Country: unlimited access to the golf course 7 days a week. Only available to people who reside beyond a 50 mile radius of the Club.
Second Club: unlimited access to the golf course 7 days a week. Must be a full fee paying member (7 or 5 day) of a recognised UK golf club and maintain this throughout the subscription year. Other T&C's apply.
Lancaster welcome golfers of all abilities, including those who are relatively new to the game and who want some coaching and on-course experience.
Intro to Golf: a 3 month membership including 6 x 30 minute individual lessons, 12 x 9 hole golf vouchers, a Golf buddy to help you get to grips with rules, etiquette, and how to gain a handicap, plus use of all clubhouse and practice facilities.
Our junior section has a reputation for producing some of the best young golfers in the area, many of whom have progressed to play at County level. We also have a variety of reduced fee memberships for students in full time education.
Junior: members up to the age of 18 who may play the course, participate in competitions, represent the Club in teams, participate in organised group coaching (
additional payment may be required) and use all practice facilities and the clubhouse.
Student: members leaving Lancaster to attend university and who reside away from their home address, are eligible to play the course and play in competitions on payment of 40% of the normal subscription for their age.
Lancaster University Student: available to members of Lancaster University Student Golf Society. May play the course 7 days a week and play in Club competitions (subject to timing restrictions and excluding Board and Trophy competitions).
As a social member of Lancaster Golf Club, you are entitled to use the clubhouse and to enjoy discounts on room hire, food and drink.
